Hudson Valley Guesthouse and Writer's Studio

This guesthouse and writer’s studio—designed by North River Architecture with interiors by Frances Mildred—was conceived as a quiet retreat for creativity and gathering. Vernacular crafted custom white-oak millwork throughout the interiors, including kitchen and kitchenettes, built-in desks, benches, integrated storage and more. Working closely with the architecture and design collaborators, our approach focused on warm, durable materials and detailing that support the architecture while adding texture, function, and carefully considered details for daily human living.
