Retail Millwork and Fixtures for Hops Petunia

Vernacular Design has worked with Hops Petunia Floral across multiple locations, designing and building custom retail fixtures, millwork, and architectural details that reflect the owner’s vision of a warm, character-filled space inspired by a jazz club in Kyoto, Japan. Through years of collaboration, we’ve developed a strong creative partnership—repurposing existing fixtures when the store relocated and continuing to create new elements as the space evolves. From oversized wall moldings that feel native to the century-old building to a handcrafted white oak point-of-sale counter, each detail was designed to make the store feel timeless, welcoming, and uniquely its own.
